Celebrate May Day with Us!

The Toronto Industrial Workers of the World present: May Day 2012 Afterparty!

May 1st is International Worker’s Day, an annual celebration of the international labour movement. Since its inauguration in 1890, May Day has been a focal point for workers’ struggles, including union protection, the eight-hour work day, migrant rights and workers’ self-emancipation.

After a 4pm rally and march starting at Nathan Phillips Square, please join us for a May Day afterparty! Celebrate an explosive year of social unrest, a month of renewed occupations and a day of general strike all over the world. Relax and kick back with friends old and new, music, drinks, and more! All are welcome.

Location: Toronto Free Gallery – 1277 Bloor Street West – at Bloor and Lansdowne (Lansdowne Station)

Time: 7:00pm-1:00am
